The short version
RCMS keeps your data on your own computer. It sends nothing to the developer and nothing to anyone else. There is no account, no cloud, no telemetry, and no analytics.
What RCMS stores, and where
Everything you enter goes into an ordinary Excel file in a folder you pick during setup: candidate names, contact details, CVs, job descriptions, interview notes, and your settings. You can open that file in Excel yourself at any time. RCMS also keeps rotating backups of it in the same folder.
If you set up a team workspace, one extra file holds the team’s sign-in details. It stores a scrambled version of each PIN, never the PIN itself, and it sits in the shared folder you chose, on your own OneDrive or SharePoint.
What RCMS sends
Nothing.
RCMS makes no network requests. There is no telemetry, no crash reporting, no usage analytics, and no automatic update check that phones home. The developer cannot see your candidates, and has no way to.
Email and calendar
RCMS composes emails and interview invites in your own Microsoft Outlook. It opens the draft and stops there. Nothing is sent until you send it, and it goes through your mail account, not through the developer.
Two places offer to email the developer. Both open a draft and stop; neither sends anything, and you can read or delete anything attached before you do.
The first appears when RCMS cannot read a leadership workbook you have connected. It fills in your column headings so the layout can be supported, and nothing else. No candidate data is attached.
The second is Settings, Support, “Draft a support email”. It attaches two files: the RCMS log, which records what the app did and any errors it hit, and a short diagnostics summary listing your RCMS version, your Windows version, and the locations of the folders you chose. Your tracker, your CVs, and your team’s sign-in file are never attached. The log records actions and errors rather than candidate records, but an error can quote a file name or a folder path you chose, and a file name may contain a candidate’s name. Read the attachments before you send if that matters to you, or remove them and write in plain text instead.
Settings, Support also links to the RCMS guides at https://rcmshere.web.app. Opening it hands the address to your own browser, the same way an email is handed to Outlook. RCMS itself reaches no server, and the site is not told who you are.
Your responsibilities
The candidate data you store is personal data about other people, and looking after it is your responsibility. If a law like the GDPR or India’s DPDP Act applies to you, you are the one it applies to, because you hold the data and the developer never sees it.
Deleting your data
Delete the data folder you chose during setup. That is all of it. Uninstalling RCMS does not delete your data, because the app never held it.
