RCMS, including its source code, design, graphics, logo, and documentation (the “Software”), is the work of Aaditya Singh and is protected by copyright law.
Installing or using the Software means you accept this agreement.
1. What you may do
You may install and use the Software for your own work, or your organisation’s. The licence is personal to you and you may not transfer it to anyone else.
2. What you may not do
Without written permission from Aaditya Singh, you may not:
- copy, share, sell, rent, lease, or sublicense the Software;
- modify it, translate it, or build anything derived from it;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble it;
- remove or hide any copyright, trademark, or ownership notice in it;
- repackage or rebrand the Software or its installer as your own.
3. Your data is yours
The Software stores everything you enter in an ordinary Excel file, on a drive you choose. It sends nothing anywhere. Your candidates, your notes, and your files stay with you, and the author cannot see them. The Privacy Policy says the same thing in more detail.
This licence covers the Software. It claims no right over the data you put into it.
4. Ownership
The Software is licensed to you, not sold. Aaditya Singh keeps all rights to it.
5. No warranty
The Software is provided as it is, with no warranty of any kind, express or implied.
Keep backups of anything you cannot afford to lose. RCMS keeps its own rotating backups and Settings will restore from one, but your data is your responsibility. So far as the law allows, the author is not liable for any claim, damage, or loss arising from your use of the Software.
6. If this agreement ends
If you break the terms above, the licence ends. Stop using the Software and remove it.
Your data is unaffected. The Software never held it and neither did the author, so removing RCMS does not remove your Excel file, your CVs, or your notes.
